I was flabbergasted, gobsmacked and thunderstruck to win the best pbk original Anthony award for AS SHE LEFT IT at Bouchercon in Long Beach. It was a moment of pure joy to be able to put Deon the raven in the hands of my editor, Terri Bishoff, to say thank you for believing in my book.  Then it was quite nice to take him back again.
